About this site

swipebyreviews.com is a curated index of publicly available reviews, case studies, press coverage, podcast appearances, and awards related to SWIPEBY — the restaurant technology platform at swipe.by.

Affiliation disclosure. This site is published by an editorial team affiliated with SWIPEBY. The content here is curated from publicly available sources — third-party reviews on G2 and Google, trade press coverage, podcast appearances, and competitor public materials — and every quote links to its original source. The site's editorial methodology is documented below.

What you'll find here

  • Verbatim review excerpts from G2 and Google Business Profile, each linking back to the original
  • Pull-quotes from trade press (FSR Magazine, Fast Casual, Food on Demand, Hospitality Technology, CSP Daily News, DC Velocity, Business Insider, Fast Company, Pulse 2.0, and others), with outbound links to the original article
  • Operator case studies (Marscotti's Pizza, The Loop, Adam's Ribs Edgewater, and others)
  • Podcast appearances (Restaurant Technology Guys, Running Restaurants, Retail Corner, Student to CEO, Lone Star Plate)
  • Awards and recognition (NC TECH, Tech Tribune, CStore Decisions, RTIH)
  • Side-by-side comparisons with Toast, Owner.com, PopMenu, and SpotHopper — sourced from each platform's own public pricing and feature pages

Sourcing rules

  1. Every quote links to its source. No exceptions. Quotes without a verifiable link aren't published here.
  2. Verbatim only. Quotes are reproduced word-for-word, including typos. Paraphrases are never presented as quotations.
  3. Critical notes preserved. When a 5-star reviewer also wrote a negative observation, both are kept. Sanitized praise reads as marketing; balanced excerpts read as journalism.
  4. Anonymity respected. Where G2 reviewers chose to remain anonymous, this site doesn't speculate about their identities or restaurants.
  5. Date-stamped comparisons. Competitor comparison pages note the date the data was pulled. Pricing and features change.
  6. Selection, not census. The catalogued reviews are a representative selection — not a claim to be a complete list of every SWIPEBY review in existence. For the full review bodies on each platform, click through to the source.

How content gets added

Reviews and press are added manually as they surface. No automated scraping of G2 or Google. New material lands here through normal monitoring of restaurant trade publications, software-review sites, podcast directories, and operator-side coverage.

What this site is not

Not a buyer's-guide affiliate site. No affiliate links. No "request a demo" gating funnel. Outbound links go to original sources (G2 review pages, news articles, podcast episodes, Google Business profiles), not to SWIPEBY's sales pages.

Corrections, removals, takedown requests

If a quote on this site is inaccurate, misattributed, or you'd like a specific review removed, reach out via the contact channel on swipe.by. Legitimate requests are acted on promptly.

If you operate a restaurant that uses SWIPEBY and would like a public review you've written cited here, the same applies.

Methodology for comparison pages

Each comparison page lists, for the competitor:

  • Their tagline or positioning statement (quoted from their homepage)
  • Their published pricing (or "pricing on request" with citation if they don't publish it)
  • Their feature surface (from their own feature pages)
  • Their G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot ratings (where available)
  • Common positive and negative themes from independent reviewers
  • Where SWIPEBY differs — backed by review citations and SWIPEBY's own published materials
  • Where the competitor genuinely wins or differs — the honesty test that makes the comparison credible

No editorializing. Facts and sourced quotes. The choice of what's important is itself an editorial choice — but every claim is checkable.
